
Dr. Melissa Lambright is the founder of SIGHT, SIGHT Specs, SIGHT Pediatrics, SIGHT Rehabilitation and Roots + Ladders. She is a board certified, residency trained optometrist with a passion for empowering patients through patient education and preventative care. She understands the complexity of the visual system and its connection to systemic health. She experienced this first hand as her mother navigated the healthcare system after an episode of blindness, eventually leading to the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis.
Dr. Lambright spent the first part of her career working as a clinical instructor at the Newington and West Haven VA hospitals. In addition, she has lectured to healthcare providers across the state on various topics including, post-concussion syndrome, emergency eye care, visual rehabilitation, visual/vestibular integration, the systemic associations of ocular disease and visual development and sensory integration of children.
Dr. Lambright received her Bachelors of Science from the University of Michigan, her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry and completed a residency at the New England College of Optometry. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Optometry. Served as Board of Directors of the Connecticut Optometric Association and the Junior League of Hartford. Hartford Business Journal celebrated Dr. Lambright’s accomplishments by recognizing her as Hartford Business Journal’s 40 Under 40.
